Neoprene can be produced in a range of thicknesses including 3mm, 5mm and 10mm. It is a versatile material that is used for many applications both across the UK and internationally. Neoprene can be purchased in a range of forms and specifications.
Alanto are market leaders in the manufacture of Foam and Rubber materials that conform to the required standards of various governing bodies.
What applications does Neoprene have?
Neoprene is excellent in hot and cold temperatures, has a high tensile strength and a low compression set. Across the world, Neoprene can be used in a variety of applications…
The automotive industry:
Transmission belts, vibration absorbent seals, vibration supports and other various components used on a vehicle are composed of Neoprene. Due to Neoprene’s excellent shock absorbent qualities, it is suitable for a range of applications throughout the automotive industry.
Electrical and lighting:
Neoprene is often used in electrical and lighting applications. Where IP conformance is a necessity, Neoprene sponge cords are suitable for use in conjunction with electronics. It is easy to fit, can be used in a range of environments and provides excellent sealing qualities.
Alanto’s new Neoprene material developments in 2017
DK1413 FR Neoprene closed cell sponge – we are currently developing a new quality of Neoprene closed cell sponge with flame retardant properties for conformance to UL94 HF1. The material has been designed and formulated as an alternative for Neoprene/EPDM blend ref NEB120 and has a similar density and hardness/compression deflection.
DK1413 FR has the same performance attributes as material ref NEB120 but has superior quality in terms of product consistency and price stability.
